Roadmap

Bossa is an evolving project. We just scratched the surface of possible uses of the workflow engine and still have many rough edges to smooth.

We are working towards a feature complete 1.0 release. Here is a list of interesting features for Bossa 1.0. If you want to help with any of these or have suggestions, see the "Get involved!" section of these pages.

• Integrate asynchronous messages queues as a notification mechanism.
• Improve the way case types are represented.
• Create a graphical editor of case types.
• Integrate the current library with a sample/default web configuration interface.
• Create a demo/generic workflow application using Bossa.

On the long range, here are other development directions:

• Create a shell over the library to provide a stand-alone workflow server, possibly using web services.
